Dear Valued Customer,
Considering the current evolving coronavirus, it will take real leadership to act in this time of global crisis in ways that both defend the national interest of keeping citizens safe and preserve the dignity of the most vulnerable. Indeed, this is what historians will seize upon when they identify exceptional leaders. Proportionately, we are utilizing the full suite of policy and communications assets globally to shape the response to this pandemic and improve outcomes for our customers. EnhancedExchange has suspended all in-person events, though we anticipate convening several discussions online and/or via teleconference as we navigate those challenges. However, this is not the type of traditional writings you have seen from businesses across the globe. As this writing is to, for, and about you as we share your pain for the losses and massive disruption you have incurred over the past weeks and will continue to incur as social distancing and closing mandates continue.
Collectively, we work together as a group to get through these tumultuous times; our staff has you and your family in our thoughts and prayers. We are following all the relevant guidelines for the safety of our staff. However, we are still working, albeit remotely, to continue to preserve and protect our business model and workers. Notably, this period of social distancing can undoubtedly be hard for some. Still, it is vital to help protect the members of our community that are at the most risk. The expanding reasoning for this protection level is the requisite care and wisdom they grant, all while we so diligently respect the precautions mandated for others and ourselves across several guidelines. Indeed, this is not a time for panic, but rather a time to come together and help each other out while remaining vigilant. Through faith and common sense, we will get through this stronger than ever before. However, we understand the despair and anger you must be feeling, the distressing business decisions you must make that were not in your strategic plan for 2020.
The pandemic of infection and fear globally, we now face, is inflicting economic hardship, sickness, and death around the world. Consequently, this will sadly become worse before improving and could well be a turning point around which history fails to turn. The coronavirus crisis is also reminding us all how deeply vulnerable we are to threats beyond our control for which we can pro-actively undertake prevention, for what we do know while learning how diverse events occur. It is possible that those challenges may open new doors for more systemic change that leads to some of us questioning our old assumptions and behaviors. Thereupon, with a deeper level of openness, we can expand while refining our forecasts to augment collective action and effective risk management. The historical past has provided us with guidance and a well-organized response grounded in science and ethics.
We see so much good, yet today, the globe is navigating the rapidly changing developments prompting by logistical constraints related to the quarantines and now plummeting demand with growing concern in the industry. Nevertheless, we continue to protect our staff and their families across our global network by cooperating with private and third-sector actors to ensure that the implementation is effective and to anticipate further steps to be taken. Taking into account our considerable research, resources, and science initiatives, we have passed many milestones, yet many are before us. Though no plan or preparation can predict everything that the future holds; however, in our case, our general response system is firmly in place. Notably, we are strengthening how we operate in the virtual realm, internally and with our external partners, to enable us to deliver on our goals. Logically, we are reassessing our activities so that we can help ensure that our staff responses to COVID-19 and other risks lead to a safer and more resilient future.
EnhancedExchange commitment to you remains to make transparent and thoughtful decisions rooted in our mission to protect the health and value of food, agriculture safety, security and production, animal plant health and nutrition, fisheries, and aquaculture resources. That is why for the safety of all and to be consistent with the guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention regarding social distancing, we are improving compliance, as we are modifying our historical practices. We have decided to use all available telework flexibilities and contingencies to serve you. Interestingly, our community is a truly global one, and we are all grappling with the unprecedented challenge of the coronavirus crisis. EnhancedExchange thoughts are with all those who have been impacted and affected. Our priority continues to be the health and safety of our team members, customers, and vendors, as well as our broader community.
Like other businesses, we are carefully following all appropriate safety procedures outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We are taking care of our employees so that our teams can continue to delight you with the exceptional content and products you enjoy. We have implemented a work-from-home policy, that includes social distancing practices and preventative actions and measures to enhance cleaning practices at our offices. Currently, we do not anticipate any immediate service delays or disruptions. Likewise, if this situation changes, we will be sure to let you know. But for now, our customer service representatives are available to provide support, and our fulfillment team is working hard to get your orders processed promptly. We work hard to make sure that we are delivering high-quality food, agriculture safety, security and production, animal plant health and nutrition, fisheries, and aquaculture products plus related services.
Every day we aim to do what is right for both you and our team members; though, we remain committed to building a more sustainable and prosperous world for all, now, more than ever. In due course, when the situation allows, we will resume our activities of in-person events. We will keep you informed of our operations through our newsletter and on social media. We appreciate and thank you for being an EnhancedExchange customer. Lastly, please take good care of yourself and your loved ones. There is not a better time to strengthen our bonds, to stand together, to help each other through this storm, and come out the other side stronger. We wish you all to stay safe, comfortable, and in good health during these tough times. In the meantime, let us be patient and do everything we can to look out for each other and keep in touch. I wish you all to stay safe, comfortable, and in good health during these tough times. In summation for all further inquiries, please email our customer service team at [email protected].
Sincerely,
The President & CEO
